Started playing Tennis at seven years old with my dad at the local courts near our home. By ten years old, I had played several Tennis BC tournaments, was ranked #1 for Girls, had two BC Provincial Titles, and was awarded a U12 National entry in the main draw, which was held in Calgary, Alberta.
By the age of fourteen years old, I had played in the U12, U14, U16 and U18 National tournaments in Canada. Some of the fantastic tennis sites played include Sobeys Tennis Centre in Toronto and Carrefour Multisports in Quebec which is where I won a National Championship on the Clay Courts.
Today, I am proud to be part of the Wilson Junior Canada Team and represent Team BC as the U18 National Captain. I enjoyed playing this year in Las Vegas, Santo Domingo, W35 Edmonton and W50 Austin while focusing on Fair Play, Abuse-Free, and Respect for Sikh Minority Women #WTA Pro.
With 36 holes of Jack Nicolas-designed golf facilities, I am proud to train at Bear Mountain which is a place that has picturesque views and eight clay courts to play tennis. An interesting fact is the rise of European and South American players on the Pro Tour can be mostly attributed to their development on clay surfaces. Tennis Canada and the USTA are now encouraging their most promising players to train primarily on clay in order to develop a fully rounded game. Play the Clay!
